yay indeed. I do like housesitting though, means I get some time to myself.

Well it’s official, everyone at the day job knows I’m leaving now. Brings a bit of finality to it all.

I can’t wait for these next two weeks to fly by. Also, housesitting is on the cards in a couple of weeks too.

that’s what I’m hoping too. 👍🏻

but yes, it’s allowed for the most part. Alex and I have had to be a bit more careful though. While I’m vaccinated, he isn’t so it’s been a bit restrictive on places we can go. I think that all changes from Friday as well.

Yikes! I think we’ve been pretty unscathed for the most part. Until Palachook opened the borders to everyone before Christmas. We’ve had to work from home for the most part. Currently masks need to be worn in most indoor spaces, including workplaces until 6pm this Friday. We’re back in the office 2 days a week from next week. When I start at the new day job it’ll be 4 days in the office. Oh, and masks still need to be worn on public transport. No big deal for me.

Exactly. Time to claim some of my free time back. That’s the part I’m mostly looking forward to. I’m looking forward to meeting up with mates again, especially Alex.

So I have my exit interview the Wednesday before I’m meant to leave. I’m contemplating that day being my last day in the office, never to return. 2 annual leave days will see me out. And it’ll give me extra time to relax before starting the new job.

I absolutely agree with this. No longer will I be spending longer hours and weekends worried about what’s about to hit me next.

I can leave work behind and spend my commute doing fun things again.

that’s a very good thing.

This time last week I felt relieved when I make the call to tender my resignation.

This week, I’m even more relieved now I’ve signed the contract for the new day job.

Now I can start to count down the days until I finish.
