@matigo check out all that green though … probably one of the main reasons I want to go … one day.
So after I got the meeting invite for my exit interview, I didn’t see much sense in staying at the day job beyond that point.
So I asked my boss if I could finish up next Wednesday and take the last two days as annual leave. This would coincide with my last day in the office and it will be far easier to return hardware as well.
Today he approved the request and I’m happy that I’ve finally reached my last week. I’ll have two extra days as well as the weekend before I start the new job.
To say I’m really happy with this outcome is an understatement.
@matigo so all went well. Haven’t tried some of the older Steam games yet but the ones I’m regularly playing are working well.
So after dodging the Windows 11 update on my gaming laptop for so long, this morning I finally had to succumb.
I’ve been using Windows 11 for quite some time on my work laptop and while it’s aesthetically pleasing, I was mainly dodging it cause I didn’t know if some of my Steam games would still work.
The update is happening as we speak, wish me luck!
@matigo I agree with you. I guess it’s also about distinguishing between destructive vs non destructive and addressing the addiction as you see fit.
@phoneboy this made me chuckle way more than I thought it would. Appreciate the belly laugh my friend :)
@matigo I’ll be honest, I didn’t realise video game addiction was a thing. I like most people use video games to relax from a stressful week of work. While I have been known to stay awake until the wee hours playing them it doesn’t happen as often as it used to.
