@matigo I know right? Trust the welcome bot to remind us though.
Thanks for the well wishes Jason, appreciate it. I feel ok for the most part but I expect to feel worse before I feel better.

Wow, has it really been since Easter that I was last here? Yikes, time flies when you’re getting used to a new job and there’s also been some family stuff happening, which I’ll share at a later time no doubt.
For now though, I’ll keep it short and sweet. After two and a half years of being seriously careful about everything, even escaping it when my mum had it a few months ago, I’ve now tested positive for COVID. Little bugger had to come for me at some point, right?
I’m feeling ok for the most part and I can still work from home but we’ll see what happens in the coming days.
Anyway, just came in to say hi. Hope you’re all going ok.
@joeo10 Indeed. There will always be outbreaks, that’s inevitable. But for us with winter coming up, it’s going to be harder to distinguish where its COVID or the flu. My mum described it as a really bad cold.
Well folks, day 7 and I’m officially out of isolation, just in time for Easter … party time!! I’ve officially tested negative which means I’ll be back in the office next week as well.
My sister and nephew are now negative and my mum decided she would do her final test tomorrow, but her symptoms have gone for the most part. Here’s hoping she also returns a negative test.
The rules have also changed as at yesterday, where the unvaccinated peeps can now mix with us again, in most settings except for hospitals, aged care facilities and other vulnerable settings. This is good news for me, as I have a close friend who is unvaccinated and we haven’t been able to go to cafes or restaurants in person for quite some time.
Oh and if I don’t get back here before Sunday, Happy Easter all.
@matigo oh no indeed my friend … here’s hoping I escape it but I’m not holding out any hope. Our chief health officer did say eventually everyone would get it in some form, and we have just passed our second peak of omicron … I thought with me being out and about the most I would get it first …
After two years of being so careful and so precautionary about COVID and the possible effects it could have, I thought we’d be able to escape it. Unfortunately not. First my sister and nephew tested positive, now today my mum is positive. This means I’m officially in isolation for the next 7 days. I’m lucky I’m able to work from home. Both my uncle and I have tested negative but I fear it’s only a matter of time. Strap yourselves in folks, watch this space.
@matigo True. But the same debate came up with Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask as well when they came out on N64. They were both using the same engine so realistically MM shouldn't have taken as long to release. It's the same deal here, where a lot of the aesthetics of BOTW are still there but just beefed up for BOTW2. Sure there will be a bigger open world and more combat mechanics but yeah … just bummed I have to wait longer now.
@matigo delays - Nintendo released a video this morning about it. It's was meant to be a 2022 release but is now coming out Spring 2023.
Well, I guess I'll be waiting a bit longer until Breath of the Wild 2 comes out …
