@matigo absolutely!
Just saved myself about $130 just now. I was looking for some new headphones as the ear pads on the ones I have are starting to wear a little bit thin. Last time I looked I couldn't see anywhere where I could get replacement ear pads quickly and I thought getting a new pair would be worth it. Had a look on Amazon AU just now and found some replacement ear pads almost instantly. Went all out and got 2 pairs lol. And they arrive this Monday. Problem solved without too much expense.
I guess I'll have to find something else to spend my JB Hifi vouchers on … 🤔
@matigo yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve used it too. The new place is good so far, although a bit challenging since we’ve all been working from home. The office basement got flooded and in turn affected the lifts, and we’ve only just got the safety clearance we can go back from next week. That’s when it’ll really hit me.
In the office starting next week. That’s when the real fun will begin. Least I don’t have to take the work laptop home each night since I’m set up to work from home on my home laptop.
Question though: what are people’s opinions of Citrix Desktop? I feel like I’ve stepped back into the dark ages a little bit.
@jussipekonen I hope you can use those extra hours to your advantage - maybe some time off?
@matigo my team leader has emailed me logins and passwords and all that stuff so I can test everything out over the weekend. But I imagine as with everything IT related, it won't work first go - I'll be surprised if it does.

I imagine this would have made news in most places but a few weeks ago, Brisbane and most parts of NSW experienced a severe weather event, where there was flash flooding in certain places near the river. While I wasn't directly affected, apart from road closures around me, I found out today my new head office was affected by the floods, which means I'm working from home on the first day of the new day job. It'll be an interesting dynamic for sure, making sure everything is up and working. I'll be using my own laptop until I can get into the office and am allocated a work laptop.
@variablepulserate I'm very happy with how everything has worked out. I'm now free and looking forward to starting my new chapter. It turns out I'm working from home on my first day because they don't have clearance to go back to head office. (Their basement got flooded in the recent severe weather event).
