So I was talking to my dad last night about how everything went with me and resigning and all of that. He did suggest I say I was going to a rival company but it’s not strictly true and I’d rather not lie. That being said, he thinks my boss is a bit of an imbecile for not asking the important questions, like where am I going and what is the pay rate. I’ll be honest, if those questions had come up I wouldn’t be ok answering them anticipating it might cause drama.
@sumudu thanks Sumudu. I can’t wait to start. Such a shame I had to give 4 weeks notice but they also could’ve made the executive call that I leave earlier. They left it as is.

@joeo10 Agreed. I do have a job lined up - start date is 21 March. I finish up the Friday before so not much lead time between leaving and starting but I think I’m ok with that.
@phoneboy Thanks mate. I feel a bit guilty celebrating what I feel like is a life victory for me when you’re going through such a hard time. I’m sorry to hear about your divorce, but I’m hopeful things turn out as amicable as they can.

@variablepulserate What, peanut butter on its own or peanut butter with banana? I do tend to go for almond butter at times as well.
@matigo I did have a pretty good weekend actually. I went for lunch with Alex on Saturday and had a chill day on Sunday.
@matigo True. I’ve been playing around with my new coffee machine as well. Figuring out my favourite flavoured coffee pods.
@matigo Yep. Exactly 4 weeks as indicated in my notice period. My last day is March 18 and I start my new job the following Monday.
