My application for the Queensland Rail job is almost complete. I spoke with the recruitment advisor looking after the job yesterday and she's keen to see my application. I have to make some final tweaks to the cover letter before I'm done. I have until Thursday morning to submit it.
I'd previously applied for a Finance Officer with them ages ago and didn't think anything else of it. I guess that's how they found me on LinkedIn.
I'm half thinking this might be one of those jobs where I'm the only one to apply for it. That scenario has happened before.
@sumudu Thanks Sumudu. I saw you've been going through some stuff too. Hopefully anxiety levels have come down.
I'm having very mixed feelings tonight.
I'm grateful. I'm realising as I get older I don't have a lot of friends in real life. I have a small circle of friends that I see every so often and then there's the handful of true friends, those few people that I completely trust and can talk about absolutely anything.
Then there's you guys. I haven't met any of you in real life but there's a select few that have got me through some pretty tough times in my life. For that I say a massive thank you and here's a virtual hug from me. I did have a hiatus from here but I'm glad I'm back.
On the other side, I'm feeling quite anxious about certain things. I am getting better about how I deal with these kind of situations though, which is nice.
@hybotics I think that's how I used my time playing GTA, well any game in general really - as a source of taking out frustration and anxiety. I still do it to this day but I also hold a lot in still too.

@hybotics No worries :) I was just thinking of all the tenants rights we have here that might give you some ideas. Our last landlord was a massive dick. So glad we're out of that situation.
@matigo Need for Speed is pretty decent. I too have not played FF or any of the others. I was all about Grand Theft Auto, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro back in the day. Then Mario and Zelda came along and added to it all. I'm this close to finishing Link's Awakening.
@matigo I’m shocked… no Grand Theft Auto??? They’re pretty decent games with a lot of side missions and stuff, which are the kind of games I’m into. The more open world the better. That being said I’ve never played WoW.
