I'm 90% sure my nan had a similar type poster board when she used to do jigsaw puzzles, I think we may have trashed it when we moved though.

hmmm, exactly what I was trying to avoid! ;)

Ok - I need some advice from the jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts out there. I'm keen to get back into doing some of the jigsaws I have in my collection, but I'm looking for a proper board (not a mat). I had my eye on one but it was only 1000pc and I'm really after something bigger. Any tips?

Thanks Joanna! I reckon if they do decide to recruit my role externally, I'll need a fair bit :)

@kdfrawg Thanks Michael :)

Thanks Jason :)

Thanks! I'll be sure to let everyone know once I hear any more.

definitely!!

So it looks like I'm being extended at the day job but not sure how long for. There are internal movements all over the place. It looks like the lady that owns the role I currently do will get the role she interviewed for last week and if that's the case, it looks like my role will be recruited permanently for up to 2 years. I see 3 scenarios here:

  1. I've been in the role for the last 3 and a bit years, to save on having to recruit I may get a tap on the shoulder
  2. If they do recruit, and I am successful that way, I will finally get the job stability I've always wanted
  3. I will no longer be a contractor, so I'll get all the perks back. Leave, flex time etc.

Let's see how this all goes.

I did have a conversation with her maybe a week or so before we merged teams about expectations and she said to me it would be business as usual for us. It seems to me she has a little bit of understanding about what my role entails but in the 3 years I've been there, the role has changed dramatically. I wonder if she thinks because I do all the reconciliations at the end of each month that I'm a fully fledged accountant (which let's face it I'm soooo not).
