well it was a little different than I expected. I'd done some research on the personality types and based on those descriptions in the wiki figured out what I was likely to be. Turns out I'm an ISTJ although I'm pretty much on the fence when it comes to thinking and feeling. In fact, most of us in the team are quite introverted. I have a link to a free online assessment so I'll have to do that and find out if the outcome is the same. And apparently, I also learned that you can change slightly as you experience more.

So I have a team workshop at 9am tomorrow morning (seriously, who does that??). Anyway, it's all about the Myers-Briggs assessment. I've heard about it but haven't ever done it … not even the free ones so it'll be really interesting what comes out. Let's see how much introversion there really is in me … stay tuned.

My introverting session when I got home turned into a snooze! I know exactly how that feels.

In saying that though, I reckon that's half the reason why we've introduced jigsaw puzzles at the day job - team building between us finance guys and the legal eagles but also it's quite therapeutic, for me at least.

Somehow, not even that could help me today. I just want to crawl into a ball and binge on YouTube, sweet potato chips and salted caramel Tim Tams …

fair, but that's just me. Buyers on eBay are pissing me off, work is pissing me off and the need to introvert was severe at best.

sounds complicated! :)

Yikes! Hate stuff like that - requires too much thought! Sometimes proper English can be difficult to understand too.

what are you hmmming about now?

@kdfrawg I know right! Formalities I guess but seriously … just slide me in there. You know I can do the job, it would save you recruitment costs ….

So, here's what I found out at the day job:

I've been extended until June at this point. There's still internal movements happening all over the place and it's most likely going to mean they will recruit my job temporarily for up to 2 years. The bonus for me is it will be recruited internally and externally, which as a contractor will give me somewhat equal opportunity to apply for my own job. (I've never understood that concept, but ok).

I've set up a job alert so I know the exact moment the ad goes live. In the meantime, I've been working on my resume and cover letter. I figure I've been doing this job for almost 3.5 years - I should be able to sell myself by now, right?

Who knows, they may still tap me on the shoulder if the recruiting process goes belly up. Or I could be the only one that applies (yes, I've been in that situation before too …) and they have no choice but to give it to me. I don't know … exciting but nervous times - stay tuned.

pineapple on a pizza is the best thing ever. I'm sure I've had debates with people on this before …
