@kdfrawg I did end it on a semi happy note … all in all a highly unproductive week but next week is a new week. I'm the only one in my team next week though. I can see some weekend work happening just to get me back on track.

So as most of you know, I had a fumble with my iPad and scratched it on the train the other morning - I was devastated, the one time I take it out of its case to attach the keyboard and that happens … ugh!

Anyway, I had a Genius Bar reservation for tomorrow morning at the Apple Store. I've now had to reschedule it till next week cause I haven't had a chance to backup my iPad (which they recommend you do) and I have no time to spare tomorrow to be able to trek to the bottom end of the mall cause I'm way too busy with work.

Good thing the scratch isn't as bad as what I first thought. I did freak out at first but while it's not affecting basic operations, gameplay and watching YouTube, I'm sure it'll be fine… for now at least.

@kdfrawg This week has been distractions galore, mainly due to audit queries. I've got nothing that I'm actually meant to do done and I'm hoping to end the week on a high.

Absolutely! It's also taking my mind off the fact I have to get my iPad fixed too, which is nice.

I officially hate audit season …

Many things … So far I've figured out how to control my Spotify playlist, track my fitness with the Activity app and unlock my Mac when I'm close by. So much more to explore …

yep, seriously nerding out right now. it's just a pity that no-one else in my family is as gadget-savvy as me. I need to fully explore my own watch so I can teach my mum …

Seriously happy right now … I've set up my mum's Apple Watch, now it's time to set mine up.

Game Center keeps tabs on high scores and things like that but I didn't think it had anything to do with the app data itself … this requires more research I think.

So, on further inspection of my iPad, it looks like the scratches are not heavy, they are only noticeable on certain angles and it doesn't affect basic swiping actions, which is a good thing. My only concern is the Apple Store recommend backing up my iPad - that's fine but when I restore it I'm afraid of losing my progress with a few of my favourite games.
