I'm sooo bleeping frustrated with the stupidity that is our current ISP. We are currently off contract (have been since the end of Jan). Mum called them yesterday saying she was interested in said bundle. It was a sweet deal that included Cable Broadband and Foxtel. I'd done all sorts of research last night on pricing since it would be a significant saving on what we currently pay.

Armed with my information, Mum walks into the store today and gets told the bundle she was after expired yesterday and would not honour it even though she had expressed her interest via phone yesterday. Begs the question why nothing was said while she was on the phone. Stupid ISP. We have struggled for some amount of time for decent internet and now this roadblock hits us like a ton of bricks.

We now have an interim internet connection until Thursday, when we may finally get the Fast Cable Broadband we've been after for months.

I guess it's back to the drawing board in terms of research and pricing.

Haha, yeah. We tend to make up nicknames for our ISPs depending on the level of service we get. Needless to say, customer service and/or courtesy is not particularly high on the priority list with this ISP, that's for sure.

Got it in one my friend … looks like I can get cable broadband where I am though, which is a huge step above what I currently have. I'm using my iPad as a personal hotspot at the moment and even that is about 8x faster. Fast Cable is up to 30Mbps and Super Fast Cable is up to 100Mbps. The difference is astounding.

no surprises for guessing which internet provider I'm talking about. Hoping to get cable broadband now - the modem dying is a good excuse to organise that now since we're now off contract.

Exactly! I still haven't fixed my iPad yet - obviously it's not as high on my priority list as when it first happened. That or I haven't found the time to get quotes to get it fixed. Must get on that.

Research begins again for a decent pair of Bluetooth wireless earbuds, since mine went through the washing machine over the weekend and are now rendered useless. Here's hoping I'm more careful with the new ones I end up getting.

So, I guess I'll be using cellular data, at least for tonight. I got home and noticed the modem was missing, only later to find out it had kicked the bucket. About time too. 8Mbps for ADSL2 speed internet is disgusting at best. Here's hoping for much better internet.
