Felt like I needed to share this cause I don't know what to make of it.

I'm on the train home and there's a dude in my blind spot that has spread himself out soooo much. I understand the nether regions need room to breathe but seriously, is it that necessary to spread out that much?! :/

@kdfrawg true! I'd say shortlisting will happen after Easter but still, playing the waiting game sucks.

@kdfrawg yeah I know. The whole thing's making me shit scared to be honest. But I know the job better than anyone else, I just have to talk myself up and give good examples. Ha, listen to me - sounds like I'm prepping for the interview already!

@kdfrawg I know but unfortunately that's the way it works. I'll be lucky if no one else goes for it (I've had that happen before) but I can't rely on that either. Ugh! On the up side though I did speak with my manager about how the process works now and she said as part of the recruitment process you can nominate people who you think should be interviewed and she put my name down. It's quite obvious they're expecting me to apply.

@kdfrawg And chips!! Can't forget those :)

oh yikes!

Well it's official. My job is on the job board now for all to see and apply for - it closes next week and I'm working on my application. It's a wonder they didn't just tap me on the shoulder but I guess that's just the process. I'll be relieved once I submit it but then the waiting game begins. It feels weird having to apply for a job that you've been sitting in for almost 3.5 years, 2 of those as a contractor.

that's a fair call. I'm the kind of person that will immerse myself in whatever I'm listening to, whether it be on the train to and from work or even when I'm working on mind numbing spreadsheets. I figure the complete noise cancellation thing isn't such a great idea.

I did see that post, just was too tired last night to do anything. They are worth a look too. I think I'll head into JB today and just test a few out. I haven't had that kind before so just want to make sure they actually fit in my ears.

I must admit I'm a little freaked out by the whole noise isolation thing too. There has to be that certain point where you can get lost in the music but still have enough bearings to figure out your surroundings.
