So the nervous wait begins after today. After talking to a few colleagues about the possibilities that could happen after this point they are all confident I'll be successful getting the job.
This is one aspect of my life I can't be too ambitious about, even though I am about everything else. I can't rely on anything. If I get an interview, great! Let's just get to that point and see where this takes me. I doubt I will know anything before Easter but I will keep you all posted.
@tomas We're also on baby watch at the moment. My sister is 8.5 months pregnant but there's every chance the little one will be here earlier than expected.
@kdfrawg yes please! at least it might allow me to plan a bit better. Found out yesterday she gave her 2 weeks notice when she met with the CFO on Friday. I'm not sure she'll last that long but we'll see. I know I had my reservations about her to begin with but that was my issue not hers. By changing my attitude we seem to be getting on just fine.

So my job application is in now, two days before it closes. I'm relieved but also nervous.

@kdfrawg yes, I'd say that's part of it too. She had a meeting with the CFO late on Friday - I guess he was trying everything he could to keep her. It worked to an extent as she's back on Monday but I'd say this will be her last week. Not the greatest news I wanted to hear on a Friday morning.
