So my job application is in now, two days before it closes. I'm relieved but also nervous.

@kdfrawg yes, I'd say that's part of it too. She had a meeting with the CFO late on Friday - I guess he was trying everything he could to keep her. It worked to an extent as she's back on Monday but I'd say this will be her last week. Not the greatest news I wanted to hear on a Friday morning.

@sumudu it seems to be a vicious circle. There's no incentive to do any work relating to the day job when I won't get paid for it. That'll hopefully change soon if this whole recruitment process goes well.
@tomas haha thanks mate. The weekend is going well so far, sitting in front of the TV watching footy as we speak. We'll see what next week brings, it'll be a short week with Easter too so yay for that!
@kdfrawg it's hard sometimes. I'd love to be taken offline for a week just so that I can catch up but I know that's not going to happen.
@kdfrawg she was! She reckons she's not being challenged enough and I can see why. She hasn't had a proper handover since she started. It's also the lead up to end of financial year, there's a lot to prepare for in that space. No one seems to have any dedicated time.
