@kdfrawg I agree. It's like I may have said in a previous post - I'm beyond caring now. If I lose my job because it was based on a boneheaded decision rather than because of something I've done, then so be it. Just don't expect me to extend my hand in training someone else.
@kdfrawg Ain't that the truth. Let's see what this week brings. I know I won't get a result tomorrow, the HR lady said that herself. I'm flagging Tuesday as "the day".
@streakmachine I ended up skipping the idea of getting a Wii U and went straight for the Switch instead and I feel like I made a good decision. Breath of the Wild is such a pretty game, no matter if you're playing on the big screen or the little one. I'm not far into it at all but I'm having so much fun exploring. It's the only game I have at the moment but MarioKart and Shovel Knight are next on my list.
@kdfrawg in my mind there's probably many reasons: criminal history checks are taking longer to come back, referees may be hard to get in contact with, final approvals. I'm flagging Tuesday as the day I'll find out.
That's the trouble though. Like I was saying to @matigo the other day, recruitment for government jobs can take quite a long time.

@kdfrawg She said it was at the final stages. My only guess is that it all needs to be approved by the DM1. We only just had a new guy start in that role this week. She did say that if there was still no outcome by mid week, she would be asking questions too. She's "running out of excuses".
Divisional Manager
@kdfrawg I spent my day doing mind numbing stuff I'd been putting off cause I didn't want to think about anything. Most of my work colleagues are waiting with bated breath just as badly as me. Here's hoping next week brings good news.
@kdfrawg if you read my latest post you might have to cross everything else too!
