@joanna thanks mate. Got another lead on one of the jobs I applied for the other day. This one looks more promising, no weekend work.

@sumudu you’re right, it is sometimes easier said than done. And I think that’s ultimately why I ended up spiralling out of control. I’m doing ok at the moment.
Well, no luck on the interviews I had this week but I have another group interview for another role next week.
@matigo Thanks mate. I haven’t had a real break since my accident in February either so it might be an idea to focus on me for a little bit.
@matigo I’m in the city today having an interview with a result as early as tomorrow or Thursday. I’ve also been shortlisted for a role at the tax office but keeping my eye out on other stuff too.
@sumudu Thanks Sumudu. Yeah that’s true. Another chapter closes, another one opens. I’d been fighting a losing battle for so long I lost myself. My anxiety got so bad I didn’t know where to go or what to do next. I wasn’t looking after myself.
Well guys - I have some news. I lost my job last week. I’m still a bit overwhelmed about it all and I have also quite a bit of work to do to repair a friendship with a really close friend. I don’t want to lose him.
Has it really been that long since I’ve been around? Yikes. Here’s a pic of exactly how my last couple of months have been. To sum it all up, pretty crappy. I never know from one day to the next week what fresh hell awaits.
@streakmachine Ok, so let me start off with a disclaimer that just says I’m not a true blue Queenslander 1. I wouldn’t normally express my political views, but having previously lost my State Government job due to changes in political power has made me a little bitter and twisted about it all. It was expected in this last federal election a lot of Queensland seats would swing one way but it didn’t work out that way. So yes, I completely agree with you on that front.
As far as people go, I can’t speak for anyone that lives in the Far North or inland but here in the South East / Greater Brisbane area, everyone seems to have quite a laid back attitude, as opposed to the hustle and bustle of Sydney or Melbourne.
