@kdfrawg It's purely just me thinking of the situation from a worst case scenario point of view. It's got to that point now where I'm just like 'I'm done!'. Put it this way, if the result doesn't go my way, I'm not staying. If they expect me to stick around to train anybody I'll be like 'er… nope!'
@kdfrawg Exactly this. I saw a blog today from the CFO that mentions basically all the good work all the other teams are doing in the lead up to the release of the budget in June and end of financial year and all that. Not once does it mention that our team of two have got through some tough times with minimal direction. I'd say that's a mean feat in itself. I know we're the smallest team in the branch but we always seem to fly under the radar in his eyes.

@kdfrawg I think it's half the reason I've resigned myself to the fact these 2 weeks may be my last. It's probably good to have this mindset though, cause it means I'm letting go.
@kdfrawg It definitely feels like it, that's for sure. The whole process started on 28 March - it's 6 weeks tomorrow. Um, yikes!

@streakmachine Nice! I'm up to the Fire Temple in Ocarina now, I feel like I have a long way to go but I'll get there. I am generally in the habit of not playing during the week merely cause of the addictive nature of Zelda games. I'm also simultaneously watching the let's play series of Breath of the Wild and Wind Waker1.
I wonder if there's a support group for people addicted to Zelda
So after talking to my Alaskan friend, he suggested I skip getting a Wii U and go straight for the Switch. No matter how much he was trying to talk me into it, I was still sceptical.
I spent a little time over the weekend reading reviews of each and the Switch for me still seems a bit buggy1. Even the reviews were saying if you're sitting on the fence you should probably wait.
I'm still sold on getting a Wii U (after all I can still play Breath of the Wild). So I went to EB Games today (they seem to be the only ones left to sell the Wii U now). They have a bundle with 4 games for $429 or a preowned console on it's own for $284. I guess it's a no brainer which deal I go for.
It's probably better that I wait until I know about my job before diving into this though. This coming from a gamer who used to get games/consoles on release no matter what the circumstance. Maybe I've grown up slightly?!
I know it's only been out for a couple of months but still…
So with the outcome of recruitment for my job to be settled in 2 weeks time1, I've decided I'm going to treat these 2 week as my last. A chance to tidy up all the stuff that I've had to put on the backburner for various reasons. Today was a good start, let's hope tomorrow will be the same.
Yeah, I know what you're all thinking - another two weeks?!
