True. I can't stay there knowing someone else effectively swept me under the rug and took my job. I haven't much liked the behaviour that's been displayed by particular people after the fact. I'm surprised the CFO hasn't begged me to stay, like I've seen him do to some other people.

hahahaha! I'd vouch for the lottery ticket …yes please! The puppy needs some thought I think.

So it's been an interesting turn of events today. My manager saw my resignation email after being absent from the office yesterday. She came and spoke to me about it and asked me what I thought was a silly question at the time but anyway … she asked me if I was sure about my decision.

Of course I'm sure about my decision.

  1. You made a bad business decision in not giving me a job you know I'm clearly passionate about.
  2. You kept me in limbo for close to a month while you allowed the successful candidate to see out his notice period yet not once did you give me the same courtesy of telling me so I could adequately prepare my next move.
  3. You assumed I would train said successful candidate and then step into my teamie's role for two months while she goes on LSL. I see very little financial gain for me here.

Guess what, it's no wonder you're all scrambling for a plan B cause your plan A didn't go to plan. Sorry BCC, you've done your dash with me now.

@kdfrawg I'll be relieved after I get through these next couple of days. Then who knows what will come around the corner.

@kdfrawg I wasn't sure if I'd replied to this already - maybe I haven't.

Thanks! I couldn't have made this decision without everyone's support. It's like my mum and my sister have said - It's time to stop being the yes man now and start to look out for me.

absolutely!! :)

She definitely is! She acts like she's not that old but more like 5 years old instead. It's quite funny to watch at times. If I don't expressly say bye to her in the morning as I leave for work she barks at me in the afternoon when I come home.

@kdfrawg I've been thinking about why the whole process took as long as it did - they knew who they wanted after the interview and they didn't have the balls to pull me aside and tell me I wasn't no. 1 regardless of the behind the scenes stuff. They let the new guy see out his two weeks while keeping me in limbo. Lucky for me he starts on Monday and I'll already be gone.

I think the long haired Jack Russell has more white than the brownish colour. She is actually my uncle's dog but we adopted her as our own after he moved in with us late last year. You wouldn't know it to look at her but she's 19!!

@kdfrawg Thanks mate ?it's nice to know I have so much support from so many people, from my family to my close work friends, to all of you guys here. It's been a tough time but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now.
