@kdfrawg I couldn't help but be a little facetious. Forgive me for that.

It will feel strange on Monday not to go to work though. I hope this break won't last for too long. A month off seems to be the trend for me.

This already feels strange. I officially finished at BCC yesterday and I'm not sure the relief has set in yet. It may set in on Monday. I woke up this morning and the eczema patch on my arm has cleared up drastically and instead of introverting like I normally do on a Saturday I was out with a friend for most of the day, and it actually felt good. The last time I was out for any length of time was the day my nan had her accident and broke her hip.

@kdfrawg not work … worked!

Geez, maybe! Coincidently I logged into my emails to start to clean them up a bit before tomorrow and there's a catch up meeting with him at 9.30am in the morning.

I just need a week to chill and get used to the fact I won't be working for a while. I anticipate finding something new very soon.

@kdfrawg Come 4.15pm tomorrow I'll be relieved. I'm going out to drinks with a few mates so that should be fun.

True. I can't stay there knowing someone else effectively swept me under the rug and took my job. I haven't much liked the behaviour that's been displayed by particular people after the fact. I'm surprised the CFO hasn't begged me to stay, like I've seen him do to some other people.

hahahaha! I'd vouch for the lottery ticket …yes please! The puppy needs some thought I think.

So it's been an interesting turn of events today. My manager saw my resignation email after being absent from the office yesterday. She came and spoke to me about it and asked me what I thought was a silly question at the time but anyway … she asked me if I was sure about my decision.

Of course I'm sure about my decision.

  1. You made a bad business decision in not giving me a job you know I'm clearly passionate about.
  2. You kept me in limbo for close to a month while you allowed the successful candidate to see out his notice period yet not once did you give me the same courtesy of telling me so I could adequately prepare my next move.
  3. You assumed I would train said successful candidate and then step into my teamie's role for two months while she goes on LSL. I see very little financial gain for me here.

Guess what, it's no wonder you're all scrambling for a plan B cause your plan A didn't go to plan. Sorry BCC, you've done your dash with me now.

@kdfrawg I'll be relieved after I get through these next couple of days. Then who knows what will come around the corner.
