@matigo Thanks Jason. Can't believe I started almost a week ago. Crazy!
@joanna Thanks Joanna! I'm guessing the access will come soon enough. But that's ok, I'm still learning a lot and reading a lot of background info so it's not too bad. The work will ramp up once I get network access so I'm not too worried.
@kdfrawg I agree. Getting out was the best decision for me. It was a hard decision to make, but I had to do it for my own sanity.
@tomas Don't get stuck in a rut like I did. No matter how much I masked how I was really feeling, it definitely got to me in the end. If there's no way to improve the current situation, you need to look at getting out, and quickly. I'm sure with your experience you'll pick another role up in no time. Chin up my friend!
Four days in and I'm liking what I'm doing so far. It's a different challenge, but I'm up for it.
That being said, I still don't have building access or network access. But, that's state government for you. As one of my colleagues pointed out, I feel like I'm in the 1940's. Everything seems backwards.
@kdfrawg I really did, you're right. And that was about the right amount of time to have off too. I hadn't felt like me for a long time and I found myself airing my frustration here and still not feeling ok. I feel like normal me is back.
@kdfrawg I did! It was based on a true story which I thought made it even better.

Well, that's my last day of freedom done. I'm off to catch up on some Mystery Diners before I actually go to sleep. Night all.
@kdfrawg I thought after having a waiting game of a bad kind, a game going the other way wouldn't seem so bad. Boy was I wrong. One can only be patient for so long.
But in saying all that, a new chapter begins.
