@matigo Just a little …
Soooo happy right now - for two days last week I was trying to do this one thing … today I get it sorted in an hour. What the hell man?!
@hazardwarning It's just disgusting. We had the biggest turnout in protesters - 30,000 of them, compared to 12,000 in Sydney and 10,000 in Melbourne. From what I could see most were wearing masks but still … it still doesn't change the fact they shouldn't be in a pack like that in the first place. We're in stage 2 so we can travel all over the state now and have overnight stays. Playgrounds and parks have opened back up again and you can have gatherings of up to 20 people.
And you're right, they are ruining it for the rest of us that have been self isolating for close to 3 months at least and doing the right thing. I feel like I'm going insane.
@matigo Here's hoping! I think the whole hand hygiene thing is going to stay with us long after this virus has finally disappeared. That being said, I'm always washing my hands and I have hand sanitiser on me at all times while I'm out for a short walk. It would be nice to not be so restricted. One of my best mates wants me to stay this coming weekend. I haven't said anything to the others yet but the last time I wanted to do that the advice was a resounding no …
@matigo I'm hoping it doesn't get to that too. What angers me more is the fact we've all basically been self isolating and doing the right thing to flatten the curve and we're slowly getting back to a new normal and this is likely to ruin all that progress.
@matigo Apparently it’s partly to do with the police brutality against Indigenous Australians. But it’s also sharing outrage over what happened in America.
@matigo It was a Black Lives Matter protest. 30,000 people. All crammed into one city square … it's ridiculous. We couldn't do anything for Anzac Day except for paying respects in our driveways. This is where the second wave will start, I just know it.
Also, it's not a long weekend for us. Our Queen's Birthday long weekend is in October.
