Last night of being a night owl. Tomorrow the new routine begins.
@joeo10 Thanks mate :) It's a fantastic way to start the year. Still feels weird but I think once I get on the train on Monday morning it'll hit me.
@matigo Me too! Let us wipe 2020 out of all existence. Though its remains will be with us for a long time to come.
@matigo Thanks Jason. I’d be a fool not to accept.
My mental health has taken a beating (as I’m sure many others have too) over the last few months. I thought last year would be my year, then COVID hit and everything went downhill from there. I even took a break from being here for a bit.
We’re already close to halfway through January and already things are picking up for me. New year, new chapter and all that. I’m excited for this next chapter to start.
@sumudu Thanks Sumudu. 🤗 I’m looking forward to getting into a decent routine again.
Good news everybody … after the second interview I had today with the Senior Accountant and one of the other ladies in the team I’ve been offered the job. I’m waiting on contract information to come through tomorrow before I formally accept.
@sumudu Yeah, that’s like me too at the moment. Haven’t worked since April but I hope that’s about to change.
// @matigo
@sumudu I can work from home but not permanently. It’ll be work from home for a week, work in the office the next week etc. I’m ok with that, it’s minimal exposure to the world.
// @matigo
@matigo yeah, it’ll be nice. It’s a week on week off work from home situation too, which I’m happy about. Just means I have to wear a mask on the train and socially distance myself from people. I prefer to sit on my own on the train anyway.
