@matigo I feel like weekends are overrated but that’s probably cause I’m home all the time at the moment. Sure, searching for jobs sucks but it’s gotta be done.
On my way home now. That wasn’t as anxiety inducing as I thought. The two guys I was paired up with for the group exercise were just as socially awkward as me so that made me feel ok about it all.
In the city today for an assessment for a job. It’s one of those group assessment exercises. Not sure how I’ll go with this.
@matigo Oh there is, they're a tiny bit lower on the list. I have my eye on a few games coming out in 2018. I got Skyrim on the Switch for Christmas so I'm excited to start that. Finishing Zelda is also on the cards.
@matigo Thanks Jason. I’m not the kind of person to set resolutions as such but it’s nice to have some end goals to keep me focussed. Anything else I get to do beyond these top 5 would be a bonus.
@sumudu Best wishes to you too my friend! Feel free to borrow any points you need to ? I would also recommend an app called Buddhify from the App Store1. It’s a mindfulness/meditation app that a lady I used to work with recommended to me. It’s $7.99 AUD but well worth it.
Or Google Play Store if you’re an Android user
@matigo it’s not very friendly that’s for sure. I’m glad to hear she’s doing a bit better ?
So today is the last day of 2017. I have to say it’s been a tough year but I know 2018 will be my year. There are many things to look forward to but on a personal note, here are my goals for 2018:
- Practice mindfulness and self care.
- Keep a stable job and hopefully get out of contracting for good.
- Get into some new hobbies - Codeacademy and Khan Academy are looking pretty good right now.
- Start online dating again.
- Don’t let the negative energy of other people get to me.
I know it’s a bit early but happy new year everyone. I hope 2018 will be a great year for all of you.
