@matigo I’ll share pics when I’ve done a bit more. The one I’m doing right now is a rainbow castle with round beads - 30x30cm. I’ve done almost one colour out of 21. I am interested to get some paintings with square beads though. They seem to be more popular.
I started my first diamond painting today and I definitely think this new hobby is something I can get quite addicted to. I have watched many tutorials on YouTube so I felt like I knew what I was doing right away. The two I currently have are quite small and I’m actually looking forward to getting some bigger ones already. They say the bigger the picture the better the detail. There are many that I’ve saved to my wishlist already.
@sumudu Agreed! I guess I stumbled on the whole diamond painting thing by accident. But then the more I looked at sites where I can get them and tutorials on YouTube, the more I got excited about it. They say it relieves stress and anxiety as well, so that’s a plus.
Today has been a good day. I managed to catch up on one of the new units in my course, found some more jobs to go for, and my diamond painting kits arrived so I can’t wait to get into that new hobby. I’ve always been a fan of paint-by-numbers, but a lot of the apps I have on my iPad aren’t compatible anymore. This just takes it to a whole new level and I’m up for the challenge.
@matigo Agreed. I haven’t cracked it open yet but that will probably change over the weekend.
@matigo I believe so, either that or I was too lazy to head downstairs for a midnight snack.
@matigo I did think about that, but by the time I did it was too late for chocolate. Ah well. I might think a little differently about it today, we'll see.
Not much done today. Had to deal with some technical issues with Duet Display, which took up most of the day. I had another anxiety attack last night which is making things a lot worse than they need to be. I’ll be on a quest to find my Peanut Buttah ice cream tomorrow, since I haven’t had a chance to get it yet. All I want to do is curl up in a ball.

I think I'm getting slightly obsessed with this whole diamond painting thing. I've bought a couple of kits from eBay already1 and after watching many tutorials on YouTube I'm actually getting excited to start a new hobby. This will take paint by numbers to a whole new extreme.
