it's tough when managers couldn't be bothered to listen to ideas on how to make things better and then implement those smarter systems. That being said, in your case I'm glad the kicking and screaming is paying off. I hate when IT has full control and you're forced to talk to them for help rather than giving you those rights to fix at least the simple things yourself.

I get that. It's like I've basically entered a time warp working at my current workplace. BCC was so much more advanced systems wise than here. There's not even a dedicated document management system. I get a chuckle out of the excerpts of emails you share here. There's just no logic or common sense anymore.

I know right! … I'm glad I'm only in this building for another 7 weeks. I still get so anxious to this day and it hurts. I shouldn't have to feel this way.

are you willing to put a wager on it?

there are some times I wish I were invisible. Today is one of those days. I thought by taking a shortcut I'd miss having to see certain people. That didn't work too well.

I suspect not very long …

Twice in two weeks …

all good, I had some grilled cheese toasties.

So glad it's weekend. It's been a productive week and my brain is drained. No Zelda for me tonight, I think when I hit the bed that'll be it.

Thank god it's weekend! Been a more productive week, which I'm happy about. The one thing that's been bothering me is lack of routine and not knowing what I'm doing from one day to the next. I now have a proper plan of action so hopefully next week I can just plug away at it all one thing at a time.

I'll be happy to sit in front of the TV with party pies and sausage rolls watching the footy, followed very closely by playing Zelda until the wee hours1.

  1. Let's see if I last until the wee hours!
