@hazardwarning Awwwww!
@matigo yeah, about that. Add the 15 minute walk home and it’s a little better than the 2 hour commute door to door I had to endure yesterday.
@matigo Yeah, it was. The day got a little better though. I left earlier to try and miss peak hour. The upside is it feels like an igloo in the train, the downside is it’s not an express train. Home is 19 stops from the city.
So after spending an extra few minutes looking for my watch I ended up getting a lift to the station so I wouldn’t miss my early train. Only to realise the I’d shoved it in my bag while I put my wallet in there ( who does that !?). So as I’m heading into the city I also realise that I left my lunch in the fridge at home … what a start to the day. Here’s hoping it gets better.
@jextxadore I actually thought I’d lost my phone walking to the train station one morning. The only other telltale sign I had other than the fact it wasn’t in my pocket was my earbuds were getting crackly cause they were losing Bluetooth range. I couldn’t ping it with my watch either. Luckily I found it maybe 100 metres behind me. No shattered screen but cosmetic scratches on the side.
// @matigo @hybotics
@hybotics I guess trying to get any kind of information from a government authority is like extracting teeth. I hope you get what you need sooner rather than later.
Yes, that pesky eviction. I wonder what else can be done about that besides legal advice from some kind of tenant tribunal.
@hybotics Have you tried to reach out to her and find out? Maybe there’s an opportunity for you to get across what you wanted to. She might think a bit differently once she knows your side of the story. It might be a really hard thing to do but it doesn’t hurt to give it a go.
I would definitely do some research around the rules with the recordkeeping with public housing and how long the state housing authority is required by law to keep those records. Over here businesses are required by law to keep records in their archive system for 7 years before destroying them.
@matigo There was a signal fault at South Brisbane, which is 2 stops into the trip. My station is 12 stops from the city when I’m on an express train. It was at least a half hour delay.
