@kdfrawg I'm glad I took the leap. Also the Virtual Console in the Wii U eShop is sooo much better than it was on the Wii. I have at least 30 games in my watch list ranging from past Nintendo systems to now. There's also a few good games to be released on the Switch soon too.
OK, so my Wii is now on eBay. I would've put it on Gumtree but there are too many lunatics there. Now to begin transferring save game data and resetting it to factory settings before setting up the Wii U :)
@matigo Don't I know it! Some debates can be settled quickly while others linger for ages. I guess the good thing is it's allowed me to research whether I can afford to swap the Wii out for the Wii U (which was always going to be the plan, it was just a question of when it was feasible to do it). Plus availability was a factor too, the store I purchased it from only had 5 left so I had to jump at the chance.
@kdfrawg yikes! I don’t deal with stress well at the best of times. I think no matter how hard I work there’s always that voice in the back of my mind that says ‘you’re not good enough’. Even though the validation and reassurance of others says the complete opposite.
@jws I don’t think senior management really understand the idea of ‘I need to get home for this reason’ or whatever. My life doesn’t and shouldn’t revolve around work.
So I thought I’d got rid of the debate I had with my brainium over the whole Wii U vs Switch thing. But now that I’m watching more and more let’s plays of games on the Wii U1 I decided I would get one while I still can. Call it an early birthday gift.
Also, I’ll be selling my Wii so that will surely make up for part of my purchase. That and it just doesn’t fit the aesthetics of my gaming area anymore (all my other consoles are black).
Wind Waker, Shovel Knight and Super Mario 3D World just to name a few
I worked a 10-hour day for what will probably be the first time in my working life. It will also be my last. If I was living on my own I probably wouldn’t care so much, in fact I would be asleep by now if that were the case. But when you have family to go home to, your perspective on the work life balance changes drastically.
@kdfrawg Yeah, I do it. Sure it's different to what I'm used to but I figure experience in a variety of skills is always good too.
@kdfrawg Hehe … Hi Michael :) How's things? It's the end of an uber busy week at work. Basically spent today binge watching YouTube stuff.
