@kdfrawg Yep, I honestly didn't think it would go that quickly.
@kdfrawg Oh it is! I do favour aioli on my schnitzel instead of gravy though. Yep, I'm strange.
@kdfrawg Definitely. I don't think she quite understands the concept of mental health stuff sometimes though, which is often why I'll deal with stuff on my own, or talk about it here.
@kdfrawg It is. Interestingly enough, my counteroffer was declined so it's obvious they wanted it for as cheap as they could thinking I'd go for the offer without hesitation. Nope!
On the way home today I got notified someone had bought it at the price I wanted and paid for it instantly, so that's a good thing. Now to organise posting it.
@kdfrawg I do like it there, the only disadvantage is not being as close to the city as I was before, but I've found ways to make that work. Being 3 minutes away from the train station at either end is fun too. Doing project work is a nice way to take a step back from everything and only having control of one major thing has been fun too.
@kdfrawg I bet it did! It was chocolate o'clock (3.30pm) when I saw it :)
It was what's known in my house as pub night tonight. Chicken schnitzel, potato gems and vegies.
@streakmachine This sounds oddly familiar to me, particularly the part about the experience and the sarcastic around selected candidate. I recently found out the dude who went for my job at BCC and got it over me is insanely more qualified yet he's gone on record as saying he would prefer to be in more of a leadership role.
What is interesting is the office politics part of it. Did they want new blood and that's ultimately why I didn't get it, regardless of my work ethic? I'd say that's more than likely. I was bitter about it to begin with but not anymore.
@kdfrawg That’s very true. As my mother so politely said to me one day ‘You’re a very complex person’. I agree with that sentiment.
