Just realised I hadn’t posted since my test of endurance on Friday - oops, my bad!

I did my test run into the city as planned on Friday morning and did much better than I expected. I am very close to getting a normal walking action back but I am still very slow, especially from a standing start. I’m still relying heavily on flat surfaces and lifts but can also do small inclines if it calls for it. I am also quite scared of escalators right now so staying the hell away from them at all costs.

I will have a walking stick with me while out in public, to not only help with balance but also to hopefully guarantee me a seat on the train to and from work.

I also saw the physio and doctor, who both seem to think based on the test run and how my mobility has improved I can return to work on full duties starting tomorrow. I can get my knee to 110° now, which is another small win. Physio says 120-130° is about the norm.

It’s going to be a daunting experience for me, I’m not sure what reactions I’ll get but we’ll see. My workmate (who I also catch the train with) has been getting so many people asking how I am over the last few weeks.
