I have a friend on Facebook, who I indirectly worked with back in 2011 and he would religiously send me a birthday message on there. Each year we’d both be like ‘hey we’re long overdue for a catch up’ and nothing ever came of it because life gets in the way¹. The last time we actually spoke besides these messages was in 2014.

So tonight I decided I’d reach out and see if he was keen to catch up. Turns out he’s still working at the same place he was way back when and our workplaces are quite close to each other. So we’re catching up for lunch this week.
