@kdfrawg I had planned on flying under the radar all day and then once it hit 3pm I was going to be all like ‘right, it’s my birthday guys I’m leaving early!’ I’ll still be leaving early though.
@kdfrawg I should call you Mr Health & Safety lol. The rule is you can only go down the lift in a drill if you are physically unable to go down the fire stairs and you have a buddy with you. You can however use the lift to come back up to the floor. I’m on Level 6 so nowhere near as many stairs as there was at BCC - I was on Level 20 there.
And … Strike 3 is the fire drill. Way quicker than I have ever experienced and I didn’t get stuck in the lift this time!!
So I start my birthday off nicely … I’m leaving a little earlier than normal and as I’m walking to the train when I realise I don’t have my go card/access card. I was too far up the path to walk back. Strike 1.
I get to work to find a box of chocolates sitting on my desk from the team. Nice! I’d only told a couple of people here and thought I’d be safe flying under the radar. Nope! Least Strike 2 is better than the first.
Here’s hoping the rest of the day runs smooth.
@joanna Very well played! We could hear the kids in the street and we had our front porch light on but maybe they thought we weren’t Halloween friendly?? I dunno.

@matigo Maybe not. There’s just no logic to anything in the corporate environment. Everything’s so backwards it’s hard to adjust.
